  • State of the GOP: Support the Republicans in 2012

I would first like to rubbish any claims that Governor Sanford's actions have hurt the GOP's chances in 2010 and 2012. While I condemn his actions, they do not make his skills as governor or a future president any less. This is kind of linked to my previous post in that we cannot let the media hype about this ruin the image of one man who made a mistake but has been a good governor and has done good things for his state.

To move on to the main subject of the day, the 2010 elections are looming already and it is imperative that Republicans pick up seats. Not just to improve the party's stature in American politics, but for the welfare and for the general good of the USA. America cannot stand Obama having basically unopposed power in the US, America cannot stand further swings to the left in that the nation cannot afford his reckless spending and huge expansion of government which goes against what the founding fathers said in that our basic rights come from god, not from government. We cannot stay in this Obama honeymoon, where we look at everything through rose coloured glasses and say "everything will be fine, don't worry" because to be blunt, it won't. The US cannot stand to increase the national debt four fold or to increase the size and power of government. Obama's 'ideals' do not match up the ideals of the founding fathers and the constitution. It is for that reason that a reliable conservative, such as newt Gingrich perhaps, needs to be elected to the presidency in 2012, and many new GOP congressmen and senators need to be elected in 2010 so that we know there are people in government who want to reduce spending, the size of government and to maintain a strong national defence. So my message to you all is to stop being lemmings to the media. Read up on things for yourself, find out what your congressman or senator is doing. The most important thing you can do in 2010 is vote. Vote to reject the far left policies of Obama and Pelosi. Vote and contribute to a party and candidate which stands for everyone, not just the rich or the poor or some particular group. That factor, the fact that Republicans view the US as one people and not alot of groups that can be used to start culture wars and feed the victim mentality in minorities like the Democrats do, that I am a conservative Republican.

    Vote Republican in 2010!
